When I first looked at it I thought "What an interesting thing to take a picture of, but I like the lines." Then I made it bigger and saw the deer in the bushes.

Torn paper collage

Eloise has been super interested in these 2 glue sticks that are kicking around my house lately. I have to take them away from somebody and put them up at least 3 times a day. Today she was sitting on my lap and she pointed at them on their high perch and said "glue sticks." so wistfully. So I said "do you want to glue something?" She did the little baby happy dance. I cut some strips of construction paper and showed her how to tear them and glue the torn bits to the paper.

Our construction paper is a little bit creepy so ignore the discolored corner, plus the glue made gross yellow spots where it's visible. But it kept her busy long enough for me to load the dishwasher and clean out the cooler and put it away. She had a hard time with the tearing, so it was good that she got the practice. (I had to stop John from trying to help her too much.)
